French photographer, Julien Benhamou, fell in love with photography as a teenager after receiving his first ever camera. Julien was immediately drawn to portrait photography, using family and friends as his subjects, and quickly came to recognise photography as a magical way to interact with people. Julien has a passion for capturing the beauty inextricably linked with dance, fashion, and various types of artistic expression, and his exquisite work has been shaped by visionaries from across the globe – from progressive 17th century artists to modern-day fashion photographers.

Through photography, I aim to immortalise those powerful moments born from human emotion and conveyed in the most fleeting of movements, to create a beautiful, tangible narrative.

“In each of the shots I have photographed over the years, the quality and precision of Nikon’s equipment shines through. When I first started capturing ballet, I sought out a well-respected brand that had the capabilities of producing high-end results. I used to rent a Nikon D3200 camera and an amazing AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8 E FL ED VR lens for every job, and they never failed to deliver. This promise of impeccability translates across Nikon’s entire line, and I have loved trying my hand at its different cameras over the years, particularly the Nikon Z 9 that I currently shoot with. The Z 9 performs at unheard of speeds which really helps to elevate my work and define itself as a powerful force in the world of photography.”
