Sanne De Wilde is a Belgian photographer creating long term work on genetics, identity and perception while experimenting with collaborative approaches in storytelling. Sanne’s passion for photography began at the age of 16, when she started shooting film and developing black and white images in the darkroom. When she discovered shooting with flash on a digital camera, she fell in love with colours, and travelled the world chasing ‘new colours’ to showcase in her work.
I was born into Nikon as my father was a photographer who always worked with Nikon, so I was lucky enough to be able to start experimenting with his old cameras, kick-starting my love for photography. I have never used any other camera!
My very first Nikon camera was the Nikon F1 Analog camera, paired with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 35-70mm f/2.8 lens. Now, I almost always use one camera and one lens, the latest Nikon Z 9 and the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8. This pairing suits my photography style and is completely reliable, which is why I am so loyal to such a small kit.
